🔧 Transmission Diagnostic Booking Information
Please read the following information carefully before booking your slot.
Our 30-minute diagnostic appointment costs £40 + VAT. This service is dedicated strictly to a computer scan and a road test of your transmission to identify electronic fault codes and operational shift patterns. We only check fully automatic vehicles, we do not work on semi automatic, if your unsure what type of vehicle you have please call our office for advice before booking.
✅ What is Included for £40 + VAT
Computer Diagnostic Scan: We connect specialist equipment to your vehicle's On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) port to retrieve error codes from the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
Targeted Road Test: A certified technician drives your vehicle to monitor shift points, acceleration, deceleration, and potential gear slipping.
❌ What is Strictly Excluded
To ensure our technicians can focus entirely on electronic and operational data during this brief window, please note that this service does not include any physical workshop labor.
No Oil or Fluid Level Checks: We do not check, top up, or analyse engine oil, transmission fluid, or any other vehicle fluids.
No Mechanical Teardowns: We do not remove, disassemble, or visually inspect internal gearbox components.
No General Inspections: This time is not used to check brakes, suspension, or non-transmission systems.
No Physical Repairs: No tools are used to fix parts or replace components during this slot.
Time and date : Please note we offer testing between 9am and 12.30 PM Monday to Friday only, if your device or conformation email shows a different time please check what time zone your device is set to, it should be set to BsT (British Standard Time)
📋 Next Steps After Your Appointment
If the computer scan and road test reveal a deeper internal fault, low fluid levels, or a mechanical issue, further investigation will be required. Our team will explain the initial findings and provide a separate quote and booking options for an in-depth workshop inspection or physical repair.
